The second day, Mizuha plan. After the concert in Yokohama the expectations were high. The only thing to worry about was the acoustics. If you want to stay closer to the stage yet not involved in the emassacref *lol*, the best place would be on either side near the stage. But in this case standing in close vicinity to the dynamics may become a problem if you donft want to watch the remaining lives in the esilentf mode ^_^; These lives were given every other day so if each show damaged our ears as much as the one in Yokohama it might have resulted in a serious hearing disorder (no joke!). Leaping ahead I can say that our ears survived because the acoustics at the remaining lives were wonderful!
It was easy to find the venue this time, since I had been to Third Stage (V-kei music shop) before and the music hall is located only 2 steps further. We arrived at Meguro station about an hour before the concert and had time to relax and have some meals. Having occupied a nice place on the second floor of the restaurant eBLDYf we were eating and watching the fans heading in the direction of RockMayKan. The mysterious guy from the previous live dressed the same way was there too ^^; In the crowd we spotted two foreigners. Looked like Germans to me.
Our ticket numbers were around 160-170 so when we entered the hall half of it was already occupied. I had never been to RockMayKan before, so I didnft expect to see what I saw. The interior looked more like a small movie theatre (I wouldnft consider it suitable for rock shows). The presence of seats was most confusing. Those who managed to occupy one of the seats though could take advantage of it putting all their stuff on/under seats and having some rest before the concert and during breaks. At least the stage was rather high, so that you didnft have to stand on tiptoe to see anything (not like it really matters to me since I am usually a head taller than the rest of the audience). We ended up standing in the left aisle somewhere in the middle of the hall. While waiting for the show to begin I caught a glimpse of the new photosets that some girls had already bought.
Knowing Mizuhafs leanings one could expect the theme of the show to bec pro-wrestling, of course ^__^. The curtains went open and Fatimafs roadie dressed in a suit went onstage. He took out a piece of paper and in a trembling voice began presenting the members. Each of them had a new name which parodied the names of famous pro-wrestlers. The first one was Towa. Oh, no, sorry, Towan Hansen! ^___^;;; (named after Stan Hansen). He appeared dressed in the clothes I had just seen on the new photosets!
The next one was announced as gPanku1 Hashimoto Reiyah (Shinya Hashimoto), and Lay came out accompanied by the fansf gWhoaaaaa!h because he looked like this:
The hero of the night, Mizuha, turned out to be Great Mita (after The Great Muta ? real name: Keiji Muto). This Great Mita reminded more of a exquisite prince rather than a pro-wrestler ^^;;
Hooked on outer space 4ge was presented as Choshu Koshige (Riki Choshu):
His hair was black though ^^.
The last but not the least was: "Previously known as Hitomi, Sanaka, Mr. Sexy, Antonio Kanoma!h (named after Antonio Inoki). Despite our expectations Anton (as he was called afterwards) did not appear from the backstage. There was some movement at the back of the hall and the vocalist wearing a mask of Antonio Inoki darted all through the crowd to the stage *lol*.
That must have been hard as the narrow aisles were packed ? no room to swing a cat in! But his plan was right ? it was so fast and unexpected, that the fans taken aback did not have time to react in a eproperf way XDDD
The rhythm of the show was set right away, the first song to be Candy $trippers which proceeded directly to Persona, Shoujo to kuroozetto and on to Kesenai Ame. After that they played Muchina Inochi e and Blue Velvet in a row! *_* That was the first time I heard Blue Velvet live and it was damn beautiful.
Great Mita, although the hero of the night, as usual refrained from speaking, so all the MC job was done by Anton ^^; Well, he never minds. This time following Great Mitafs instructions he was adding ekono yarou!f2 at the end of the words which made the fans roar with laughter.
The atmosphere in RockMayKan was unbearably hot and stuffy. Both the band and the fans were all in a sweat. Minding their new costumes mostly made of fabrics impervious to air, seeing their exhausted faces was not a surprise. Especially 4ge who heavily clad in frills looked as though he didnft feel well.
Almost every time I watched them perform Humiliate me more, Darlin' they either planned something for it or something unexpected happened. Last time it was 4ge who suddenly left the stage and never came back till the next song which put the other members in a confusion. This time due to their new names Anton made the audience rehearse for a while to call them out properly during gthe circleh. Hansen, Mita, Hashimoto, Choshu, Anton! The first attempts were boggled. Every time when it was 4gefs turn the fans would cry out gKoshige!h ^__^; However, Koshige-sama would not accept that *lol*. So the rehearsal was repeated a few times until they eventually succeeded. ^^
Before they left for the first break Mita put on Inokifs mask, stood up in the centre of the stage and tried to impersonate Inoki adopting the winning pose and pretending to speak to the tape which ran gGenki ga areba, nandemo dekiru!h3. ^___^
Usually solemn and concentrated Mizuha (the way I saw him at lives) was in a very good mood this day ? smiling, playful, efountainousf haha! His water showers reached as far as the middle of the hall. At least they did reach me a few times, which was good because water was something we longed for in the stuffy music hall ^^;
There were a couple of encores. One of the pleasant surprises that evening was the song from the upcoming album, Sakura Meiro.
They finished the concert with the song which started it - Candy $trippers. During the song they went absolutely insane. Stripped Anton jumped on the drum set, then on Towan Hansen. After that the latter was straddled and mobbed by the over-excited vocalist ^^;
In the very end Anton attacked Great Mita *lol*. He tried to push him into the crowd and ended up in the crowd together with the guitarist. We could only see their hands and legs when they desperately tried to climb back on stage. The rest of the members were watching this laughing but having no intention to help ^^; Finally they made it! However, Anton failed to rise to his feet, so he simply crawled backstage. As for Great Mita, he stood up looking as though an entire army had marched over him. Nonetheless, reeling and stumbling around, he ended his performance with more showers for the exhausted fans ^^;;;
The last act was 4ge who nearly threw his guitar into the public and left the stage. The confused girls in the first few rows kept on holding his guitar above their heads until the roadie came to take it away.
