Anachronism : English

Lyrics: Sanaka
Music: Lay

My body's stained by a thousand colors.
I'm afraid of the monochrome, a flickering darkness
that reflects your strength.
Every night, we're pulled into conflict.
It blossoms, it withers, it flutters in the sky:
This hopeless love is someone's fault.
My body's stained by a thousand colors.
I'm afraid of the monochrome, further darkness.

The blossoms have been scattered, hastily.
Overnight, I'm in love.
There's honey in the flower, making me feverish;
Maddeningly, I'm pulled in.

Dried tears destroy this facade; dismally, usubeni* fills me .
My hair's stained in a thousand sins.
I avoid dead dreams; every night, I refuse usubeni.
My body's stained in a thousand evils.

My body's stained by a thousand colors.
I'm afraid of the monochrome, a flickering darkness
that itches up my back; I need a change,
as I refuse the fate of filth [like me].

There's honey in the flower, making me feverish;
Maddeningly, I'm pulled in.

Dried tears destroy this facade; dismally, usubeni fills me .
My hair's stained in a thousand sins.
I avoid dead dreams; every night, I refuse usubeni.
My body's stained in a thousand evils.

Color of the flower
Has already faded away,
While in idle thoughts

My life passes vainly by,
As I watch the long rains fall.**

Soon my life will close.
When I am beyond this world
And have forgotten it,

Let me remember only this:
One final meeting with you.***

Dried tears destroy this facade; dismally, usubeni fills me.
My hair's stained in a thousand sins.
I avoid dead dreams; every night, I refuse usubeni.
The hair of my dying body is stained in a thousand colors;
Seeking a thousand cures in this dying body.

At the very least, I want to forget usubeni:
how this body was given to fire.
Every night, I can't wake up;
These dead dreams overwhelm me.
It burns my heart: usubeni.

Stained in a thousand evils, my body ...

I hate everything about you.

* Usubeni: Literally light pink color, but usually refers to the color of sakura, which is present in many Japanese love songs and poetry. It can signify both the awakening of love as well as how quickly it can fade and disappear.
