The "Exit" from such an unrealistic world: Part 2

Cure : There's also that type of thing in culture as well.
Isn't that how it can be in emotional dealings? Comparing Japanese
people to foreign people, I think the appeal of being foreign is that
they are more passionate. ( laughs ) Well then, how about "Dorii Maazu."
4ge : The theme to this song is sort of festival-ish. It's
a fun song. Even at lives it's really fun.
Kanoma : All the members participate in this one. This one
can't really be considered visual kei as all the members sing in such
well-trained voices. ( laughs )
Cure : I listen to this song and just become happy! Additionally,
it's great how the member's parts are planned for such detailed places.
At lives it seems to climax.
Lay : But, doing it live is actually rather difficult.
Kanoma : Because I've heard it so many times, I inadvertendly end up singing the other member's parts as well. ( laughs )
Cure : By the way, who is the one who is singing "niya~niya~niya" in the song?
Towa : That's Lay-san.
Kanoma : It's the same voice as your first kiss. ( laughs )
Cure : They are similar, huh? ( laughs )
Kanoma : I'm laughing too much!! But at the part when everyone sings, we really want the fans to sing along too. That's sort of our aim.
Cure : A feeling of calling after the members then?
Kanoma : Yeah. Call & response, or like a member introduction sort of . . .
Cure : During the live, will it be a scene like passing the mic out to the audience during the chorus so that they can sing along?
Kanoma : No, a little different! It'll be as simple as us all just singing along together. Don't you think that'll be interesting? But uhm, there's many different possible ways for us to do it that'll be fun. There is no one set way.
Lay : It's like having the freedom to whatever is fun for you. I think that's best.
Kanoma : Carrying the rhythm with your body is good. Really, anything goes.
Cure : That's very important, isn't it.
Kanoma : To do it the way that you want to is what will make us the most happy.
Cure : And so, how about "peanut."
Kanoma : This is a re-recording. At the time of the first recording, the sound didn't really agree. But since we wanted to leave it as a sound source, we decided to do it again. We arranged it a little bit, so I'd like it if people who'd bought it before would listen to this version as well. The fifth song, "Tsumugi Ito" is the same type of thing as well, a re-recording. At our oneman in November we sold it as a onecoin CD, but I wanted to include these lyrics in "Exit" as I liked what they talked about.
Cure : So it was suitable for "Exit." Well then, how about the last song, "Ajisai?"
Kanoma : Fatima's first live was in June. And so the kaisan will be as well . . . Ajisai bloom in the rainy season and scatter. If we were to compare Fatima to a flower, the Ajisai would be perfect.
Cure : I see.
Kanoma : As it's our last song, I attempted to write straightforward lyrics.
Cure : We usually talk about Kanoma-san's lyrics and the perspective that comes from them, but I was wondering if the other members could talk about the sound that they play.
Lay : Within the songs we've made, I think there's lots of various bewilderments. That type of mental state is something we often pull off. But at the end, everything becomes light and that is our main point.
Cure : And at the end there is an "Exit."
Lay : Yes, that's right. Regarding my bass, I think it just bursts open with what is me.
Mizuha : I would like people to listen closely to the first three sounds in "Sakura Meiro." I'm very satisfied with that. This entire album is really a story.
4ge : I really think about the sounds that I make, so it would make me happy if you were to listen to them carefully.
Towa : As for the drums, I don't get too absorbed in them. It's like seasoning it to a certain degree. I follow the song just so that it becomes easy to listen to, something that I can sense.
Cure : So the melody is very important. Lastly, let's talk about being emotionally moved and any links with lives it might have.
Kanoma : From here on, I'll be the interviewer!!
All together : ( laughs )
Cure : ( laughs ) Well then, if you would, Kanoma-san!
Kanoma : Up until here, what's the biggest emotionally moving experience you've had?
Lay : I think for me it would be at the live on March 30th, when SID's Aki asked me to marry him.
Cure : Seriously? Could it be, Lay-san . . . This feeling is . . . ?
Lay : No way!
All : ( big laugh )
Kanoma : Aki-kun really likes Lay. "Lay-san♥, Lay-san♥."
Cure : He really adores him, doesn't he?
Kanoma : It seems like he was impressed with how Lay looks!
All : ( laughs )
Cure : He is rather pleasant to look at, isn't he. Kanoma-san, how about yourself?
Kanoma : For me, a time that I've been moved would be because of a birthday surprise. Fans and members celebrate it with me . . . It's become sort of an established custom every year, so I pretty much know what will happen but still. ( laughs ) It's like it will definitely happen. But this year, on my birthday, that's the day that we announced the kaisan, so to the fans that came I'd like to apologize.
Cure : Ah, that's very complicated . . .
Kanoma : ( small smile ) So, last year's birthday was definitely the best. We made a video at an okonomiyaki place and I received a signed memory board. I was moved by such a heartfelt present.
Cure : How nice!
Kanoma : When you become an adult, the amount of people who celebrate your birthday with you becomes smaller. Therefore, when you're congratulated by various people on your birthday, because you're in a band, it can make you really happy. 4ge, Mizuha, do you have such a story?
Mizuha : I'm the type of person who doesn't get moved too easily.
Cure : But there's got to be at least one time in your life, right?
Mizuha : Hmm... ( thinking ) . . . Maybe there was something that happened in February.
Cure : What kind of 'something'?
Mizuha : But it's something that doesn't really involve a live.
Cure : . . . February? Could this possibly be related to . . . Valentine's Day?
Mizuha : Not at all!!!
Kanoma : You wanted to get chocolate but you wanted to have a break from lives, so you were defeated!
Towa : Like an unemployed person!
All : ( laughs )
Mizuha : That's not right! It has nothing to do with Valentine's Day. But, what happened caused me to wonder what to do, and I was filled with some panic!
Cure : What could have happened that made you feel that way?
Mizuha : I'm not going to say, I'm sorry. But at that time, I called Lay-kun and he said that it wasn't the right situation to do a live in. And because of what he said, I felt relieved and was emotionally moved.
Kanoma : How about you 4ge?
4ge : Well, there probably was a time that I was moved but. . .
All : ( They all think together )
Kanoma : Hey! When I became sick with pnuemothorax, didn't you cry?!
Cure : What happened?
Kanoma : This was right before the live circuit where we were going to play seven nights in a row. We had a lottery in which a limited number of people were chosen to meet up for 4ge's birthday, which we were planning on doing.
Cure : Planning on doing??
Kanoma : That was when the trouble started with my body. Right before the live and during rehearsal, I started choking and thought it was very strange. So I went to the hospital. And then I found out I had a hole in my lung. ( laughs )
Cure : That's awful!
Kanoma : I was very surprised! I asked the doctor, ' Can I still do lives? ' And he said, ' You idiot! You'll die! From here on, you'll have to stay in the hospital! ' ( laughs ) We had to stop that birthday idea . . .
Cure : It must have been sudden, I would think. ( laughs )
Kanoma : I felt like I had lost a battle . . .
Cure : Oh, like having cramps during a warm-up?
Kanoma : Right, right.
4ge : At first I was really shocked. ( laughs )
Cure : Continuing on, what about you Towa-san?
Towa : For me, I was moved during a birthday live as well!! I really like Nagano, and so we were able to do a live there on my birthday. I put together the setlist for that live but suddenly someone asked to change the last song. And they asked to do so at the very live, at a crucial moment. The proposed change came from Kanoma-kun!
Kanoma : At that time we often did such things as part changes. So doing it that day wasn't unnatural.
Towa : Right. Right when I stood in the front before the audience, they suddenly stopped playing the music they'd been playing. I was thinking, 'What are you doing, Kanoma-kun!' I felt very desperate. ( laughs ) And then everyone began to sing Happy Birthday to me.
Kanoma : We set Towa up.
Towa : At a time when I least expected it! ( laughs ) I was extremely embarrassed, but so happy!
Kanoma : The first plan was to just have Towa panic when we stopped playing. But in the middle of his confusion we just decided to go through with singing, and it turned out great. ( laughs )
Cure : I would have liked to have seen that spectacle. ( laughs ) And last, how about a message to the fans?
Towa : Our last tour and then the Grand Finale. There aren't many lives yet, but I want to put all of my energy into them!
Lay : People that haven't seen us yet, people that have the least bit of interest in us, please come to see us. This band is a part of the visual kei scene . . . I want you to remember Fatima.
Mizuha : Even if coming by yourself, I want these lives to be left in the hearts of everyone. Die on the 26th! **** We plan something like that.

4ge : I want to see this overwhelming existence, that is what we are. Until the end, that's what we will do.
Kanoma : At the actual end, I'd like to see a Fatima compilation. For the five of us, please come to see this very important moment. Even if you just have a small bit of interest in us, please come by all means. I've also been to see a kaisan live, sometime ago. Even if it seems like a strain to go, what is necessary is just to go. Otherwise, there might be regret. In the distant future, thinking back on this might be a sad thing. Whatever it takes, if just a little effort or a great exertion. Don't regret this, our . . . please come and burn our final shape, our final form, into your memory. And to answer to our hope of this, I'd like it to be something like, 'This month, I have a live that I must go to see' -- a live that you will certainly want to see, without fail!
